Part of the reason we chose to get married in Old Lyme is because we absolutely love the area. Here are some of our reasons why:

Eat

  • Chester, CT – Directions

Truly the best wood fired pizza in Southeastern Connecticut and an all-time favorite of Jayna and Bradley's. Grab a seat at their outdoor patio, pick out a white and a red pie, don't sleep on their fennel salad, and save the leftovers for breakfast.

  • Groton, CT – Directons

Family-run restaurant serving homemade pasta on the riverfront.

  • Mystic, CT – Directions

While the dinner here is incredible, we highly recommend stopping by for happy hour. Their classic and specialty cocktails, oysters, and pimientos de padrón are our favorites. Shipwright’s is connected to The Whaler’s Inn for those looking for a hotel and dining duo.

  • Mystic, CT – Directions

Choose your own adventure! Ball out at the Oyster Club or head upstairs to Treehouse for a more casual fair at their outdoor dining deck above their main restaurant.

  • Groton, CT – Directions

This is hands-down the best Indian food in CT, possibly the world. Casual spot for curries, samosas, and chaats.

Drink

  • Salem, CT – Directions

Our all-time favorite brewery serving up an incredible juicy hazy, classic pilsner, and funky fermented brews.

  • Mystic, CT – Directions

Local “dive” bar with an underwater theme, shuffleboard, and arcade games. Jayna recommends their rum cocktail on tap, and Brad will point you in the direction of a Benji or Asahi. If you’re looking for dinner and drinks, Dive is located just below a local dinner favorite in Mystic, The Port of Call.

  • Old Saybrook, CT – Directions

Great wine and cheese selection located in the heart of Main Street in Old Saybrook.

  • Chester, CT – Directions

The Pattaconk or “The Conk” is a historic bar in downtown Chester where Bradley developed a taste for bowls of chili, cheeseburgers, and light lager.

  • New London, CT – Directions

Brand new brewery in downtown New London. Drink a Fugu while checking out their live poison dart frogs.

Explore downtown Old Lyme by grabbing breakfast or lunch at Coffee’s Country Market or The Shack (East Lyme), enjoy a walk on Lyme Street, or go thrifting at Jayna and Bradley’s favorite shops, Treasures and Nearly New.
